For many Asian women out there, our childhoods were build around badass female cartoon characters such as Kim Possible and The Powerpuff Girls.

And now, it appears that an OG childhood cartoon trio is heading to Southeast Asia! Here we go, here we go!

In the trailer for season 7 of Totally Spies, the 3 Beverly Hills high school besties turned international spies, Sam, Clover and Alex will be heading to Singapore where their agency, the World Organization of Human Protection (WOOHP), is apparently based.

Totally 1

Totally Spies wrote, “New season. New stories. Same butt-kicking spies! Sam, Clover and Alex return for their biggest mission yet in a brand new season of Totally Spies!”

Considering season 6 was in 2014 (10 whole years ago!), it’s only fair that Totally Spies returns with a whole new setting and some new characters.

Totally 2

With Jerry, the (former) president of WOOHP, being retired but thankfully still appearing in the series, the spies will have a new boss, Zerlina Lewis. Other new characters include Toby, who handles the spies’ gadgets, and Mei Lin, who works at the Bubble Spy Cafe. Oh and Mandy, the girls’ arch nemesis, will return!

The spies will also be going to a new school! Set in Singapore, Sam, Clover and Alex will be attending a university called AIYA because “it could be a fairly emblematic center of technology”.

Totally 3

There’s also trouble brewing for our neighbours.

“We’ve been given reports of strange and frightening creatures all over Singapore,” Zerlina tells the spies in the trailer.

Season 7 of Totally Spies came out on May 12 (Sunday)!
