Are we missing out on another show after Taylor Swift? Pop song lovers and concertgoers, you might not like this.

American pop star Olivia Rodrigo announced her world tour in Australia and Asian countries, and as you may have guessed it, Olivia did not mention Malaysia in her list. In her TikTok post @livbedumb, Olivia announced the list of countries that she’ll be visiting this year along with the dates, and here’s where Olivia will be performing for GUTS world tour.

  • Bangkok (16 September)
  • Seoul (September 20)
  • Hong Kong (September 24)
  • Tokyo (September 27)
  • Singapore (October 1)
  • Melbourne (October 9 & 11)
  • Sydney (October 17 & 18)

Based on the list, we foresee many Malaysians boarding the flight to Singapore for Olivia’s GUTS world tour, which was what happened during Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour earlier this year. According to the announcement poster, fans in the Philippines can hope to attend her show as Olivia hinted “Stay tuned Manila!”

What about the ticket prices and the seating arrangements?

According to Live Nation, tickets will go on pre-sale on May 15 and on sale on May 16. The prices and the seatings, however, are yet to be disclosed. Well, at least you can mark your calendar to secure your seat!

For Singapore, Olivia will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on October 1 at 8 PM.

When Malaysian Swifties learned that Taylor Swift skipped Malaysia, an online petition for PMX to “invite” Taylor to Malaysia was launched. It didn’t work but at least the fans tried. Do you foresee the same move for Olivia Rodrigo this time?

“Um, hello, Malaysia is here, Olivia”

Malaysian fans are devastated to learn that the 21-year-old pop star skipped Malaysia for her world tour. Moreover, history is repeating itself as Singapore made the cut and we (once again) didn’t. On X, social media users continuously expressed their disbelief after learning that they can’t watch Olivia’s show in KL.

You can watch her TikTok announcement and feel envious of those who get to watch her without travelling abroad.

We can only hope that the American pop star will perhaps consider adding Malaysia to her list.
