Malaysia & China have a visa-free travel agreement, in which Chinese citizens can stay in Malaysia visa-free for up to 90 days during their visit, and vice versa.

A Chinese TikToker @豆总大马签证中心 recently admitted that it was not the right thing to do when some Chinese citizens took advantage of the free visa by working illegally in Malaysia during the 90-day period, but at the same time, she urged the Malaysian contractors to reflect on their inefficiency.

Dou Zong, who has been staying in Malaysia for a period of time, recently shared that a Chinese renovation team obtained a 30-day stay period through the Malaysia-China visa-free policy, and took advantage of this convenience to come to Malaysia to undertake projects, “defeating” local decoration companies with lower prices and faster speeds.

“The Chinese team could complete a project in 20 days, whereas the Malaysian team took about 2 months to finish the job.”

“Some of you Malaysian decorators claim that Chinese decorators are coming to Malaysia to take over the market, but why don’t you ask yourself why the Chinese can do it but you can’t?”

She also revealed that she had hired a Chinese decoration team to renovate her home, and the plumbing and electrical services they provided were “very good”, and called on Malaysian companies to learn from the Chinese’s efficiency and cost control.

The video, however, has been removed from her Douyin and Xiao Hong Shu (RedNote) accounts.

Regardless, what do you think of her take on this?
