It’s undeniably a huge relief to have police officers who always look out for the people and sometimes, in doing so, they put their own lives in danger.

Just recently, a kid in her school’s sports attire was spotted walking alone on the road in Johor without any supervision or legal guardians seen with her. During their patrol along the town, 2 kind-hearted Abang Polis immediately approached the kid and asked where she was heading.

Poor kid was walking alone to school after she had missed the bus, and she had 1.5 km of distance left to walk. That distance may mean nothing to many of us who are capable to walk twice the distance but not for the kid. For the sake of her safety, both police officers immediately arranged to send the kid to school.

Together with the help of the public at Taman Johor Jaya, the police officers managed to escort the kid to school and safely drop her at the doorstep.

“They waited until her teacher came to pick her up, and asked the teacher to inform the kid’s legal guardian about the matter.”

In the meantime, PDRM took the opportunity to remind all parents to always watch their kids and never leave them alone, especially in places where they are prone to danger.

“This is to avoid any unwanted incidents from taking place.”

The Facebook post was shared by PDRM in Seri Alam yesterday (3 July) and it has since gone viral, much to the amusement of many Malaysians who thanked both Abang Polis for their kindness.

To all parents, do make sure your kids are never exposed to danger out there. It’s scary to even imagine what could’ve happened if fate did not bring the police officers and the kid together.
