You know that moment when you’re super hyped for something and when you finally get it, it doesn’t meet any of the expectations you had?
That’s exactly what happened to Singaporeans who experienced a hard hitting case of expectations versus reality.
A pizza/fried chicken hybrid, the Chizza was made available at KFC outlets in Singapore on 8 February. Even Malaysians were riding on the hype hoping that KFC would launch it in Malaysia as well.
Many online users stated their eagerness to try the hybrid and flocked to the nearest outlet as soon as they could.
However, in a recent Facebook post that instantly went viral, a Singaporean netizen shared how the much anticipated Chizza turned out.
The Chizza: Expectations vs Reality.
While we understand the term ‘image is for illustration purposes’, but this one… there are no words to even describe the pain.
The hilariously sad post was shared tens of thousands of times on Facebook.
That’s not all, throughout the day, people started posting pictures online that showed their item looking way worse than the illustrated image.
Combined with the long wait they endured, customers went to the KFC Singapore’s Facebook post to express their disappointment.
“Man, this looks pathetic. Look at the size and the amount of “ingredients”. Queued for 20 minutes to order, and then waited another 25 minutes for my special order for one without the pineapples,” said Facebook user Louis Poh Intric.
He added that people should not bother buying until the hype and queue dies down as KFC’s QC is apparently bad when there’s too many orders to be met.
Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore managed to speak to a lady who said that she had to wait almost 45 minutes for her Chizza at the KFC outlet at Nex!
Furthermore, the Chizza from the Singapore outlets are even being compared to ones apparently from the Japan outlets. And there’s a huge difference.
The Chizza in Singapore definitely looks wayyyy too sad. KFC, you better up your game!
