Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud has responded to recent news about the increase in rape and incest cases in Kelantan, saying that parents play a pivotal role in educating their children.
Datuk Nassuruddin said that parents are also responsible for educating their children and supervising their movements so that they don’t fall prey to social issues, such as rape cases.

The Menteri Besar spoke to the media yesterday (April 10) at the Aidilfitri Open House organised by PAS Kelantan, assuring the public that the state government is taking action to curb the issues. However, he stressed that they can’t do it alone.
“If parents are not playing their role in observing and educating their children, the state’s government efforts will be difficult to succeed.”
“Every individual should protect themselves and their family members from Hellfire,” Nassuruddin said, reported Sinar Harian.
Rape cases don’t just happen in Kelantan

Nassuruddin also said that Kelantan is not the only state that is facing the mentioned social issues, and highlighted that the state government has never tried to escape from the matter.
“We are always discussing the issues and seeking the best approach to educate the people in the state.”
“The state government always plays a role by setting up various educational programmes in mosques, suraus and schools.”
He also expressed his hope to see parents playing their respective roles in educating their children, especially when they are the figures who spend the most time with their children at home.
PDRM in Kelantan recently made a shocking reveal and said that rape and incest cases have seen an increase of 22%, and all cases involved pregnancy and were consensual.
