Normally, people would complain about cows that have been left to wander the streets, causing danger to road users.

But, why would someone complain about cows that are being kept well by a loving community?

Kebun-Kebun Bangsar founder, Ng Seksan, took to his Facebook page to share how 2 cows from Kebun-Kebun Bangsar had been seized by the Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) last Friday (July 21), due to a complaint allegedly by their former deputy chairman Datuk M. Ali.

What makes this worse is that, after a week in DBKL’s hands, the cows have become skinny.

Cows 1 1

Ng Seksan wrote, “Dear Dr Ali M of Selamatkan Kuala Lumpur. Can we know why you made a complaint against Kebun-Kebun Bangsar that resulted in 2 of our cows being confiscated by Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur last Friday? The cows are now stuck in DBKL, Cheras pound, for the last one week and have been reduced to skin and bones as they have not been fed properly.”

“You do not even live in the vicinity of Kebun-Kebun Bangsar. You claimed yourself as a community leader and we think you need to explain your action to us.”

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Ng Seksan explained that they have having major problems in getting their cows back and are looking at quite a fine.

Cows 2 1

“We are facing a lot of roadblocks in getting our cows released back to us. Initially, they wanted an address outside of KL where the cows will go, but after we insisted that the cows are essential and critical for the operation of Kebun-Kebun Bangsar urban farm, they relented,”

“But now, they are imposing a very hefty fine and other charges in excess of RM6,000 which were cannot afford.”

We genuinely hope that Kebun-Kebun Bangsar gets their poor cows back as soon as possible so that they can recover from not being fed properly.

And we also hope that the authorities look into why the cows were treated so cruelly by a city council.

Stay tuned for more updates.
