JUST IN: Swimming Pools Are Now Allowed To Be Open For Water Sports Training

Minister of Defence, Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob has just announced in a live broadcast that swimming pools will be allowed to open for water sports training.

Water sports training must be without physical touch and the training must be done in sessions with a limited amount of people. These training sessions will be limited to national athletes, state athletes, swimming academies and swimming clubs.

Swimmers will need to follow certain SOPs such as

  • Registering for MySejahtera app
  • Practice social distancing (3-5 meters) during the training session
  • Not loitering near the pool after training is done & etc

Dato Ismail Sabri also said that the Youth and Sports Ministry will be updating the SOPs in detail soon.
