JUST IN: Moratorium Approval Will Automatically Be Given For B40 & Those Affected By MCO

In his live announcement today, Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the introduction of the PEMERKASA + programme that is worth RM40billion for the country. The three initiatives focused under the programme are said to aim at increasing public health capacity, helping the rakyat and ensuring the continuity of businesses.

In discussion with Bank Negara Malaysia and other banks, all those under the B40 community and those affected by the MCO will be given automatic moratorium approval for three months or they can choose to reduce repayment by instalments for 50% in a six month period.

This initiative will start in June and will benefit more than 5 million loan applicants up to an RM30billion. Respective banks will be giving more information regarding this initiative at the nearest time.
