JUST IN: CMCO In Selangor, KL, Penang, Sarawak & Kelantan Extended Till 31 March

In his press conference today, Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the Conditional Movement Control Order in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Kelantan will now be extended till 31 March 2021.

Other states including Kedah, Perak, and Negeri Sembilan are now under the Recovery Movement Control Order. Sarawak still maintains its CMCO status and other states under the RMCO will maintain their statuses as well.

The minister confirmed that interstate travel is still not allowed except between RMCO states. Interdistrict on the other hand is allowed in all states except in Sabah and Sarawak upon request from the state government.

The one-month long Ramadan fast is set to begin sometime next month and in lieu of that, the minister announced that Bazaar Ramadan will now be allowed to operate under strict SOPs. For now, the only SOPs that were announced is that the bazaar will only be allowed to operate from 3pm till 8pm.
