In his live press conference today, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the MCO in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor and Penang will be extended until 4 March 2021.

Previously, there was a 10km travel limit added on top of the interstate and interdistrict travel ban in areas under MCO. However, the minister announced today that there will no longer be a 10km travel limit in these areas. Nonetheless, there will still be an interstate and interdistrict travel ban.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri added that the travel limit is no longer relevant as many economic activities in these areas have resumed. PDRM will be the ones to decide in which areas will there be roadblocks after 18 February.
