Horrifying CCTV footage has surfaced from a private care centre in Taman Mas, Kulai, Johor, where a young girl can be seen being beaten with a wooden ruler by a man, while other children watched on in horror.

The MYNEWSHUB X page shared the video, which shows the girl sitting on a chair and pleading with the man holding the wooden ruler. At one point, the girl gets off the chair and moves away from the man while still pleading, before sitting back down on the chair.

The man, on the other hand, can be seen scolding the girl while 6 other children stood around and watched with fearful expressions.

The girl then got up from the chair again and the man started beating her with the wooden ruler, as she fell to the ground and struggled in pain.

This isn’t the only incident from the care centre

MYNEWSHUB also shared a report by Harian Metro, which states that the police have received a report regarding this matter.

Though it turns out that this beating incident happened before a completely separate issue, the alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl at the same care centre. The accused, who has been arrested, is the same man in the video.

“The victim (10 years old) was beaten by a 59-year-old local man, who is also the guardian of the orphanage, last October. The suspect was previously arrested on November 30 and convicted of rape, and is still in remand custody until (December 10, Tuesday),”

“The case is being investigated under Section 31 (1) (a) of the Children Act 2001,” shared Kulai District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Tan Seng Lee.

The 17-year-old alleged rape victim, who was apparently raped at the care centre from 2020 to 2022 while she was 13 to 15 years old, has since been rescued by the Welfare Department (JKM), while the fate of the other children remains unknown as the beating incident only came to light yesterday (December 9).
