The Selangor Local Government and Tourism Exco, Datuk Ng Suee Lim, had apologised for the incident involving a local rapper, Zamaera, who was allegedly filmed in an unclothed state during a Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) raid of a massage parlour in SS14, Subang Jaya, on Wednesday (December 4).

According to a report by BERNAMA, he said that the matter may have been due to the lack of clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) resulting in a misunderstanding between MBSJ officers and Zamaera when the raid was carried out.

“What happened was, I was informed that the massage parlour is not licensed, I do not blame the musician and understand that she may feel challenged in terms of personal honour, rights and more,” he said today (December 9), at the Wisma Dewan Undangan Negeri Selangor.

Additionally, he shared that appropriate action will be taken to resolve this matter amicably and prudently to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

His party will be looking into mandating the use of body cameras for local authority enforcement officers, but this depends on their current financial standings.
