A motorcyclist in Singapore went viral recently thanks to his rather unconventional way of transporting a whole stingray using his motorcycle.

Get this, the man strapped the stingray on his back using ropes and acted as if the large fish is his bag. A ‘slingray’, if you will.

A photo of the incident was shared by Reddit user u/neslo_ice on the r/Singapore subreddit of the social media platform, with many amused by the man’s casual nature in performing such an act.

It is to be noted that the stingray was transported on his back without anything protecting the fish, as it was strapped on the man’s back using ropes without any plastic cover or container.

Furthermore, a closer look at the photo shows that the tail of the stingray is not visible, meaning that it was already cut or that the man was actually sitting on the fish’s tail throughout the whole ride.

In the post’s comments section, many Redditors were entertained by the man’s action, though some do question the hygienic aspect of transporting the stingray that way.

One commenter joked that wearing the stingray on his back gives the man ‘+10 armour’, with another echoing the same sentiment, saying that the man is playing the video game Monster Hunter World in real life.

Meanwhile, one commenter said that the man should’ve wrapped the stingray in plastic or put it in a bag as leaving it exposed to the air during transport, especially on the road might contaminate the fish with pollutants.

Replies to this comment jokingly said that it would make the stingray a ‘street food’ and that ‘it’s flavouring’, with the best comment of the bunch being how this would make it a ‘smoked stingray’.
