Now, this is how you do a Hari Raya campaign!

Last week, a local fashion brand called Maqilla Boutique just put out one of the most inclusive Raya advertisements we’ve seen so far this year, all for a good cause.

The campaign featured beautiful shots of two models with Down Syndrome wearing the Basic Raya Collection for this year’s Hari Raya season, and they look like they’re loving every minute in the spotlight!

The stunning models featured in the campaign are our very own national Paralympic athlete, Siti Marina Frohlich, and the adorable little Koh Hui Qi.

The cheerful photos showed them modelling the simple yet elegant designs, fitting with their theme, “You are your own kind of beautiful”. Aww!

The brand shared the inspiring (and adorable) photos, saying,

“This Aidilfitri will be more meaningful when you celebrate it alongside people with special needs.”

Maqilla Boutique ran this campaign in collaboration with the Down Syndrome Association of Malaysia.

According to an announcement on their Instagram page, RM10 from every item purchased from the Maqilla Basic Raya Collection will be donated to the organisation.

It’s amazing to see a fashion label showing the disabled community in such a positive light. What a great way to celebrate Hari Raya!
