Penang is a hub for karaoke spots and it’s a much loved activity here by it’s locals. We decided to include KStar Family Karaoke in the list as they have a wholesome list of fairly up to date songs for very affordable prices! Price range for 1 hour of karaoke starts from RM12 to RM30 depending on the happy hour promotions and room type.

Their facilities might be on the basic side but best believe that you’ll get a private and comfortable setting to sing your heart out. It’s the perfect activity to do either by yourself or with a group during a rainy day…

5. Penang War Museum

This museum isn’t exactly fully indoors but almost half of it is covered for you to comfortably explore if it were to rain. Despite that, we still highly suggest you bring an umbrella to travel around this huge area.

The Penang War Museum, which was once the Batu Maung Fort built by the British Army prior to World War II. This eerily historical fortress is complete with interlinking tunnels, jail cells, and bays for cannons, and was designed to defend Penang Island from a sea-borne invasion. It’s a great place to learn about Penang’s rich history on the wars it’s seen.

Some say it’s one of the most haunted sites in Asia, and they even organize night tours for those who aren’t afraid of a little supernatural adventure.
