Earlier today, it was reported that an influencer trio had made a video showcasing themselves giving chicken bones to a homeless man while also giving the leftover chicken meat to a pet dog, causing immense backlash from Malaysians.

Now, one of the content creators has taken to social media to clarify that he and his friends had, in fact, provided the homeless man with a proper meal consisting of rice and 2 pieces of chicken, while explaining that the ‘chicken bones’ incident was just an act and the homeless man was in on it.

The influencer, ALUK Durianzaiii, took to his Instagram to share this.

He said, “Hello, everyone. I would like to clarify the chicken bone incident. Because of this video, everyone thought that we fed chicken bones to the homeless man. We didn’t actually give chicken bones to the homeless man.”

“At the beginning, we followed the homeless man. It was a collusion for the means of making a video. We finally gave him a complete meal. (We gave) rice and 2 pieces of chicken to the homeless man.”

ALUK Durianzaiii then showcased a clip where he and his friends had given the meal to the homeless man seen in his previous video.

“In fact, our original intention from the beginning, we just wanted to help people in society. We let everyone think that we fed him chicken bones. But we did speak to the homeless man, we asked him if he could act with us. He agreed. So we acted together to shoot this video. We really did not give him chicken bones to eat, we gave him a proper meal.”

“I’m sorry”

He hopes that the general public will allow him and his friends an opportunity to do good.

“Please give us a better chance to give back to society. We will do more good deeds in the future by helping the homeless. I’m really sorry, everyone. I’m sorry,” he added before ending the video.
