In an Instagram story by @bobsburgerbangsar, the vendor shared an image of officers raiding his stall, followed by a brief explanation on the matter, saying,

“We will keep you updated on the matter soon via our social media.”

The business gained massive fame after American gaming content creator, IShowSpeed visited the place as one of his last stops in Malaysia and even paid extra for 1 special beef burger. Did the fame cause the raid?

In a phone conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Bob said DBKL officers told him about the complaints lodged by the public, and he was not the only one who went through the same fate.

“That’s all the DBKL officers told me. I’m not the only one whose stall was raided and confiscated, the vendors along the road experienced the same too.”

According to Bob, he was not the only vendor who set up the stalls on the pedestrian near LRT Bangsar, where his stall was.

When asked about resuming operations, Bob told WORLD OF BUZZ that he would be back as soon as possible but was unsure when he could do that.

“DBKL officers didn’t inform me properly. Some told me that my stall will be confiscated for a week, others told me probably two weeks. Regardless, I’m headed to DBKL office this morning (October 4) to get a clarification.”

Bob also said that he would do his best to get back on track as soon as possible to not keep the customers waiting.

“I was told that a customer came all the way from Malacca for my burger. I’ll keep the matter updated via my social media. I don’t know when, but I’ll try to be back ASAP. Do come over when I’m back!” Bob invited WORLD OF BUZZ.

At the time of writing, DBKL has yet to release a statement about the raid.

To those who have been waiting to try Bob’s burger, stay tuned as we keep you updated!
