The saying “the customer is always right” can’t always be always true, especially when dealing with an unreasonable customer.

Recently, an online fashion brand apparel, Hzswag Co, took to their Facebook to share an incident they encountered when a customer demanded to fulfil a ridiculous request that was beyond their ability.

In the post, the seller wrote in the caption:

“By running this online business, it can make me vomit blood. Sooner or later, I might just get high blood pressure, my heart feels so tired. Please don’t play with me.

In the last incident, I had to travel to Penang within one and a half hours. Now, I have to tell a postman to sing a happy birthday song. This is really unbelievable, don’t play with me.”

The seller then attached screenshots of the conversation that took place between the seller and the unreasonable customer.

Here’s the translation:

Customer: Thank you, boss.

Seller: You’re welcome. I’ll post the parcel number tomorrow, please remind me if I haven’t sent you the parcel code number by 6pm.

Customer: OK. Boss, I have a request.

Seller: What’s the request?

Customer: I’ll give you a good review. If cannot, I’ll post a bad review in the review section. Because this [the item] is for my girlfriend and it’s her birthday gift, and also ‘520’ is her birthday. Do you mind asking the postman to hand her the package and sing a birthday song for her? Can you do it?

Seller 2

Seller: Don’t play with me bro. Do you even think that’s okay?

Customer: MA DE ( Chinese swear word ) what kind of attitude is this? If you can’t do it, then don’t do any online business. Rubbish business. I want to get a refund now. Excuse me, I want to get my refund now.

The post garnered over 4,700 shares, 3,300 likes and 1,800 comments. Netizens blasted the comments section, expressing their anger towards the unreasonable customer.

So, is the phrase ‘the customer is always right’ always true? I don’t think so…
