Identity theft is something that is not taken lightly in Malaysia. Though the main focus of such crimes would normally involve fraud, this time around it was used for deception.

As the Tanjung Piai Parliamentary polling day takes place today, three would-be voters became victims of identity theft when their MyKad details were already used by others to vote.
