Sometimes we forget that Insta-life is not real life. Most of the time, we only see the good parts of people’s lives, which makes us more inclined to dismiss their struggles.

Recently, a netizen posted a brazen question to a Malaysian actress, Elfira Loy, asking her how she affords her lavish lifestyle considering her rumoured lack of ‘work’ these days.

Elfira’s response to the question on her Instagram Story has grabbed the attention of many.

The question reads, “How is your life so luxurious? You don’t even act that much nor run any business. Where’s your income (coming) from? Your shopping habits can beat a Tan Sri’s child even since you were single.”

Anyone who reads the question could tell that the netizen seemed low-key salty of Elfira’s fortune.

They even took a jab at the actress’ apparent lack of acting jobs these days.

According to them, Elfira’s lifestyle is suspicious because without work, where does she get her income from?

Elfira’s response

Calmly answering the netizen’s question, Elfira said the livelihood she made had been unexpected.

In a separate story, Elfira said she is a career woman who earns her keep. Even if it is to buy fried bananas, she will use her own money.

“I have money, okay? I work day and night to earn money. Even if I want to buy fried bananas, I don’t ask my husband for money. I’ll buy it with my own money,” she said.

“If I am the type to ask for money from a ‘rich’ man, I would have driven a Ferrari. I wouldn’t be using the car I’m using now. At most, I’ll have four maids. But no, I take care of all the chores myself,” she added.

That question must have been quite a shock to Elfira. We say, you go girl!
