The Covid-19 outbreak and the Movement Control Order is bringing out the worst in some Malaysians.

We have patients and potential virus spreaders who refuse to cooperate with medical professionals, we have people who refuse to stay home and insist on spending their time outside despite the restrictions on movement, and now we have people taking the Movement Control Order as an opportunity to be lazy.

Musa Tarmizi took to his Facebook page to showcase the residents of a complex in Gombak who decided to throw their rubbish out their windows, unconcerned for those staying on the ground floor.

He wrote, “I feel bad for the people living on the ground floor, their house probably smells like rubbish because of these irresponsible people. Throw your rubbish at the designated areas. Try to be a bit smart, don’t keep your brain at your knees. PPR Gombak Setia 41.”

Trash 1

It’s during times like this where were have to learn how to not only maintain our own hygiene but also the cleanliness of our home, and yes, that includes our home’s surroundings.

Trash 2

This type of behaviour is not only ridiculously selfish, but also very inconsiderate as it can jeopardise other people’s health, especially those who are living on the bottom floor.

We genuinely hope that the residents of this building realises how wrong they’re acting, clean up their mess and throw their rubbish at the designated areas like civilised human beings.
