Faced with a heartbreaking situation, a Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officer decided to be kind and donate money to an underprivileged, desperate father who approached the officer in an attempt to sell his watch.

The officer took to his TikTok page, @bigredmachine3196, to showcase his interaction with the man, who was down in his luck in searching for a job and wanted to sell his watch for money to take care of his family.

Watch 1

The officer wrote, “Keep fighting, patriarch. May Allah always protect you.”

In his video, the officer explained that the man had stopped his MPV while he was making rounds.

Thinking that he needed directions, the officer stopped by the side of the road for the man, who then proceeded to ask the officer if he was willing to buy his RM500 G-Shock watch for RM100.

Watch 2

He went to explain to the officer that he had ridden his motorcycle around Puchong to look for a job but was turned away by the many shops he approached.

“I tried to conduct a small interview with him and suggested that he sell the watch to a pawn store, but was told that they offered him a value that was too low,” the officer shared. It was later revealed in the video that the pawn store offered RM35 for the watch, which the man bought for over RM490.

The officer then told him to follow him to a better location, as they were by the side of a main road.

When they arrived at a parking lot, the officer offered to give the man some money without taking his watch.

“I don’t think I’ll be buying your watch, brother, but can I give you some money?” the officer asked the man, as shown in the recording of the officer’s bodycam.

Watch 3

The man initially refused this offer, but the officer insisted on helping him by giving him some money. The officer then took out his wallet from inside his MPV and gave the man an unknown amount of money, to which he profusely thanked the officer for.

Watch 4

The officer also suggested that the man sell his watch online for a better price, as the man needed money to purchase necessities for his 2 schooling children, and wished him well.
