Scammers are truly despicable for targeting people and coercing them into handing over their hard-earned money just so they can make a quick buck.

Perhaps tired of their usual scare tactics, these netizens decided to have a little fun by entertaining one of these prank calls, just to see how far the scammer would go to trick them into paying for something that wasn’t theirs to begin with.

The video begins with the scammer claiming to be from a credit company, attempting to make the netizen pay on behalf of his friend, who was also on the line, silently listening in.

“This is a loan that needs to be paid! He has a loan, and if he doesn’t pay, he will be sued in court!”

The ‘victim’ then shared a screenshot from Truecaller, confirming that the caller was indeed a scammer.

Initially, the netizen played along and agreed to pay.

“Okay, okay, I’ll pay. I pity him.”

But as the scammer grew more aggressive, they switched to a different narrative that clearly got under his skin.

“If you really want to help him, give me your phone number and I’ll prove to you that I’m from the credit company,” he said.

“Use your brain. Do you want to see your friend go to jail? You should help him!”

To this, they replied, “If that’s the case, send him to prison. He said he wants to go since he’s never been there.”

Furious, the scammer declared that the call was being recorded and threatened to drag everyone involved to court, before abruptly ending the call.

Netizens in the comments section had plenty to say:

“Is this really a debt collector? He’s very passionate about his job.”

“He acts like the credit company belongs to his grandmother,” said a user.

Another commented, “You should act scared and cry. That’ll really make them ramp things up.”
