Developed during the Qing dynasty in China, mahjong is a tile-based game usually played by three to four people. The game’s popularity has spread all over the world, even Hermès, the high fashion luxury brand from France that specialises in leather, made a full-leather Mahjong set!

The luxurious mahjong set, namely the Helios mahjong set, is made out of solid Palisander rosewood and printed in Swift calfskin, a calf leather that has an extra soft and fine texture. Coloured in ébène, it definitely makes you feel like royalty.

When the mahjong tiles knock against each other, they will make a gentle, delicate, hustling sound, instead of the usual “squabbling” noise that normal bone tiles mahjong make.

This deluxe set of leather mahjong is great for gifting. After purchase, the mahjong set will be delivered in an orange box tied with Hermès’ very own trademark, the Bolduc ribbon. You can even include a card with your personalised message written on it.
