Most of us have been using WhatsApp as our main messaging application for many years. And over the years, they have come up with many cool new features that help make communication much easier and convenient.
Besides making video calls and audio calls on the application itself, many of us often use the voice message function as well.
It is simply a button that you can hold to record your voice and it will automatically send the voice message to the recipient. I’m sure many of us have accidentally sent voice messages that were cut off halfway or perhaps you’ve had to re-send a voice note after realising you weren’t audible the first time. We’ve all been there…
But did you know that there’s a little trick that you can do to listen back to your voice messages before hitting send?
According to World Today News, here’s how it’s done:
- Open the Whatsapp application.
- Start recording your voice note.
- While recording your voice message, slide your finger up to select the voice audio lock.
- When you are done recording your voice message, exit the WhatsApp application (like how you usually would when you want to close the app and head back to your homepage). Yes, leave while it is still recording.
- Re-open WhatsApp and you will be able to playback your voice message.
So simple right?!
You will also have the option of deleting the voice message if you are not happy with it.
This way you can make an audio message, listen to it before sending and make sure that your message is comprehensive to the receiver.
