The hardest thing a parent can ever experience is losing a child, especially when they’re at a very young age.

Unfortunately, an accident that happened at Putrajaya had a father saying goodbye to his beloved daughter.

A video, shared by the Kuala Lumpur Reporter (@KL_Reporter), showcased the scene of the accident, where the father, surrounded by his other children, can be seen holding his lifeless child in his arms before putting her onto a stretcher to be taken away by the medics.

The Kuala Lumpur Reporter captioned the posting with, “Four kids plunged out of a car after it collided with another car at a traffic junction at the 4th Precinct in Putrajaya. The kids have been rushed to the Putrajaya Hospital.”

A witness on the scene had told MStar that as he helped the victims, he noticed the father sitting by the side of the road, hanging onto his 5-year-old daughter who had died in his arms.

“I saw how strong he was, he didn’t wail or cry. He just hugged his child while he spoke. If I was in his shoes, I wouldn’t be able to be that strong,” said the eyewitness.

It turns out the father was not speaking to his departed daughter, but he was sending her a prayer. He had spoken the Kalimah Syahadah prayer on her behalf, which refers to a person embracing Islam as their chosen religion. In this case, it signifies that the father was sending off his daughter’s soul to their Creator.

When the stretchers arrived, the father who was clearly completely broken at that point, used what little energy he had left to carefully place his daughter’s lifeless body onto a gurney before assisting the medical team with his children.

The rest of the family were badly injured, but fortunately had survived the crash.

The accident had occurred on the Seri Ehsan bridge when the family’s Perodua Alza collided with an Audi. The passengers of the Audi did not sustain injuries.

Our love and prayers are with the family during this difficult time, in hopes that they heal from their physical injuries as well as their emotional distress of losing their beloved family member.

Rest in peace, little Umairah, you will be dearly missed.
