A Malaysian woman recently had to endure a scary experience after she descended from the train at Subang Jaya.
In her viral Threads post, Suraya took the opportunity to remind the public, especially solo ladies who are often at the Subang Jaya’s LRT and KTM station. According to Suraya, she realised a mysterious man started to follow her and her friend after they both took the escalator down.
“He was already down there when my friend and I was still on the escalator. I noticed he was asking cash from a stranger, who gave him RM2.”
Initially, Suraya did not suspect anything, and she walked by the man until her friend, and she felt something off – as if the man continued to follow them.
She looked back several times just to realise that the man was there as if he had his sights on them. The man suddenly walked beside them and maintained the same speed. When they were at the bus station, the man appeared to be backing off, only for the pair to realise that he stayed behind them.
Suraya told her friend who was unaware about it, and they pretended to take a selfie to check if the man was still there.
His presence was confirmed, so the pair left the bus station and walked quickly towards SJCC Gallery Center, where the man was still following them.
“We walked all the way until Subang Parade and still pretended to take a selfie to check if he was there. I guessed he noticed that we were recording him, so he stopped following and made his way back to the Subang Jaya station.”
In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Suraya said the matter is a huge concern not only to her but also to those who work around Subang Jaya, Wisma Consplant, and UOA.
“What’s even more concerning is the matter happened in broad daylight and not when I was alone.”
The incident took place on January 9 around 5:17 pm, and Suraya also told WORLD OF BUZZ that the police who took her report assured her that actions would be taken.
“They will inform the auxiliary police around the area to do more patrolling to ensure the safety of the people around there. If it were to happen again, I was also reminded to just call the police directly.”
To those who are often at the station, have you encountered a similar situation?
