We can’t deny how many shopping malls are still standing in the Klang Valley, as if we don’t have enough malls already. Amidst the variety of shopping places to visit, there is probably a hidden gem, or a vintage paradise, if we may, for those who are hunting for vintage items.

Look no further than Amcorp Mall in PJ. On her TikTok account, @suitkate, a British expat, Katie Roberts, who is currently living in KL shared her amusement after discovering the mall that fascinated her. Katie has been in Malaysia for years but it shocked her that she has just found out about the existence of the mall months back.

Katie has her own way to describe the recently-discovered mall.

“Welcome to Amcorp Mall – 5 floors of thrifty vintage heaven.”

She started looking around at a record store and continued her exploration at other stores, before she stopped by and got herself some books. The gentleman who sold the books to Katie was even happy to have a little chat with her, which she called the experience “delightful”.

She then found another record store where she bought a record from the place, despite not having a record player yet at the time of posting. Katie couldn’t stop praising the place when she constantly found stuff that amazed her, including paintings, stamps, handmade arts, jewellery, music band t-shirts and memorabilia.

The list of items that she mentioned is definitely music to your ears if you’re looking for vintage items. At the end of her clip, Katie was already planning her next trip back to Amcorp Mall, saying,

“The next time I’m going back, I’m going back with a plan, knowing what there is and knowing where I want to go.”

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Katie, who is working in the marketing industry said that she has been in Malaysia for 4 years now. And yes, she already went back to the thrifty vintage heaven not too long after her 1st trip. This time, she brought a friend along to explore the place.

They even had lunch together at a Japanese restaurant in Amcorp Mall.

Katie’s post about the discovery of Amcorp Mall had many Malaysians reminiscing their good ol’ times at the mall. Some were even planning to return to the mall soon.
