Haunting Dashcam Footage Shows Man Appearing Out of Nowhere on NKVE Highway Before Fatal Impact

A man was fatally hit by a car after the driver didn’t notice him walking along the lane lines in the middle of a highway up until the final moments.

According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, Shah Alam District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol stated that the accident took place last night (11 January) at approximately 11:15 PM at Kilometre 9.4 of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) heading towards Shah Alam.

A man walking on the highway was fatally hit by a vehicle

Moreover, police investigations revealed that the victim had walked from the Klang-Damansara exit of the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) onto the NKVE and stopped in the second lane from the right after attempting to cross the highway.

Assistant Commissioner Ramsay Embol explained that the driver was unable to avoid the victim, and the force of the impact caused the victim to die at the scene.

The police are currently working to confirm the victim’s identity, with the case being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Witnesses are urged to contact investigating officer Mohd Najib at 019-7757354 to provide information to assist with the investigation.

 

Video of the accident is circulating online

Dashcam footage from the car involved showed the man appearing suddenly in the middle of the highway when the car was switching lanes.

Unfortunately, the driver of the car could not stop in time and collided with the man, causing his death.
