One day, you wake up and go about your business, and the next day, you find your fame online. That was exactly what happened to the famous roasted pig seller who danced to fame with Blackpink’s Pink Venom.
Little did we know, there is more to come for him. Just recently, the man, Samous Chok revealed via his Facebook page that he is now part of the cast of a local movie, 斑彩师傅驾到. The movie, which has yet to have a release date will feature 5 chapters that will somehow be related to each other.
The movie will also star YouTubers, influencers, radio DJs, and singers. As for Samous himself, he has yet to reveal his character in the film, but according to one of his recent posts, he said that he’s excited about the production despite having a minor role.
“A minor role, but a good, new beginning.”
In another Facebook post, Samous revealed that his mother will take over the duty of selling roasted pork as he will be busy shooting the movie. Samous’s mother also prepared a whole portion of roasted pork for the production team.
“Acting is not as easy as it seems”
According to Samous, his new chapter may be filled with thrills and excitement but it is definitely not a walk in the park.
“You think it’s easy when you watch TV. But when you have to do it personally, it’s not as easy as it seems. I always feel like I don’t do good enough when I act”, he said in a Facebook post.
Despite the challenges, Samous admitted that he’s happy with the vibes and the environment where a lot of people get together to produce a movie.
Samous, who has a Master’s Degree from the UK said that despite feeling like he’s late in life, he’s grateful for the help from his seniors.
“It’s only a minor role for me in the movie, but it’s a good starting point for me to learn. I’m grateful that I can do what I like at this age.”
We’re glad that Samous gets to showcase his other talents after dancing his way to fame. Are you excited to see him on this new journey?
