A while back, a Malaysian roasted pork (siu yuk) seller had gone viral over his dance rendition of BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’, which he changed to ‘Pig Venom’.

The man quickly became an online sensation and gained the love of Malaysians (and BLACKPINK fans) everywhere.

Now, he is also impressing people by showcasing the fact that he has a Master’s degree in Science (with Distinction!) from Northumbria University in London.

Masters 1

Taking to his Facebook page, he wrote, “It’s been 7 years now”.

“Because I persisted in going abroad to study, it changed my destiny from then on. It’s not about how expensive this piece of paper is, but because I left a weak environment and grew up again in a new environment, because I didn’t have the shelter of my family, I grew up instantly, because I didn’t want to be looked down upon, and I put in more effort than many current students.”

He shared that his efforts in gaining the Master’s degree had also changed the way he thought.

Masters 2

“The result is that I have changed my thinking, exercised a more highly functional mind, broadened by horizons, strengthen my heart and accepted new things with sensitivity. Thank you to myself that year, if I hadn’t insisted on going abroad, maybe now I would be very concerned about other people’s eyes, sneering and sarcastic.”

“Now, looking at everything, I think: others laugh at me for being too crazy, and I laugh at others who can’t see through it. When you suddenly realise, I am already overlooking your height, this is strength!”

He also left everyone with ridiculously good advice

“To the talented you, don’t overwhelm your love and dreams because of being human! Because I don’t want that once you have white hairs, you’ll come to regret it all, so just be yourself, as long as you don’t hurt others, and be cheerful.”

“To parents all over the world, it is not necessary for you to send your children abroad, but you must give them the right to stumble and face difficulties, because only the children themselves can feel the crisis and have the ability to face problems, which is the best guarantee for them to face society in the future,” he added.

What do you think of his advice? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section!
