In the video recorded from inside a vehicle at night time, the Kancil can be seen driving on a dark road while the front and rear passengers stick their hands outside.

All the passengers were also holding their smartphones with the lights turned on while doing so, with the reason they were doing this being revealed a few seconds into the video.

Get this, they were actually using the smartphones as ‘manual’ turn signal indicators due to the actual turn signal indicators on the Kancil no longer working.

The passengers then hilariously swayed their hands in the air with the smartphones lights turned on like in a concert to show which direction the car was going.

Malaysians amused by the friend group’s out-of-the-box solution

In the comments section, many Malaysians were amused by the friend group’s creative way of overcoming the car’s broken turn signal indicators.

One commenter praised them for making the effort to show other road users where they’re going with the ‘manual signal’, unlike other drivers out there who have functioning turn signals but don’t use them.

Meanwhile, several commenters said that the ‘manual signal’ is rather confusing as it seems like their hand motions are simultaneously showing left and right.
