Most of us like fresh raw salmon right? For those who don’t, what are you even doing on this post? Haha anyway, it’s typical that when you visit a buffet, you want to make sure they serve salmon so you can whack it all and get your money’s worth. As when you do crave for some salmon, sushi restaurants always seem to be overpriced so you’ll have settle for those thinly sliced salmon sushi (or maybe it’s just me being a cheapskate).

Well like I mentioned, if you love salmon, boy do I have a treat for you! Feast your eyes on these!

Top Catch Fisheries, 一頂魚屋 is located in Overseas Union Garden near the OUG market.

Top Catch2

It takes up a size of only half a retail shop so it can be pretty hard to spot. With it’s rather old looking signboard, this little restaurant isn’t as eye catching as its fishes. But fear not, what they serve is said to be as good as the Sydney Fish Market. I mean, those images must’ve done the place justice.

When I got there, I was pretty confused how I should proceed since they did not have pre-cut salmons. The shop manager must have saw the perplex look plastered across my face and asked if I was looking for sashimi? To which I said yes, yes, a thousand times yes! (that’s not exactly what I said).

You will have the option to choose your salmon steak and after weighing it, the store manager will have it cut.

With all these macam yes pictures, you would think these salmons cost a fortune! Instead, they are actually rather cheap!

Usually it costs about RM28-30 but I was greedy and chose the bigger one. The amount above costs RM36 which is able to fill up two people to satisfaction. WHAT A STEAL!

Of course, they serve other seafood as well.
