A recent sharing by a foreign tourist visiting Malaysia has gone viral on social media thanks to his kind words regarding the public transport facilities in our country.
Specifically, the man, an Indonesian national was in awe of the facilities provided at the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) in Kuala Lumpur, to which he remarked that the terminal feels like an airport rather than a bus hub.
In a post on his X account @gerbongbagasi that has garnered over 3,100 likes and more than 1,000 reposts, the man, known as Gaz asserted,
“The bus terminal feels more like an airport, whereby there are super huge departures and arrivals boards. Furthermore, the ticketing system is centralised.”
“All counters sell all bus tickets to multiple destinations. I don’t know how they distribute the profit from the ticket sales.”
In a reply to the post, Gaz added that entering TBS is hassle-free as once you get into the building, you’ll find the lobby and ticket counters as per the photos he shared.
He further praised the building layout as being intuitive and easy to understand and compared it to the Pulogebang bus terminal in East Jakarta. According to Gaz, the terminal in Jakarta is really confusing as you don’t know where to buy tickets from which specific bus operators to the destination of your choosing.
Moreover, he said that the Pulogebang bus terminal is too small and that travellers are always bugged by scalpers.
Speaking of which, Gaz was asked by an individual whether there were scalpers trying to sell him bus tickets outside of the counters in TBS to which he replied no.
So, what do you guys think of the sharing by Gaz on his thoughts on TBS? Do you feel the same? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
