Fires Devastate Families In Kota Kinabalu Village, Burning Down Hundreds Of Homes

An early morning fire swept through Kampung Tanjung Aru Kabel, Kota Kinabalu, destroying hundreds of homes and personal property in the area.

The fire which began circa 4am, can be seen through crowd-sourced videos devastating homes until the break of dawn.

The Putatan Fire and Rescue Department, Royal Malaysian Police, RELA and the Civil Defense have all made their way to the scene and helped local put out the fire.

A total of 23 homes have burned down as a result of the fire.

Thus far, authorities are still assessing the extent of the damage. Let’s hope that no casualties are reported and that all families affected are given the help they need.
