Taking to X, a netizen shared a video showing a father confronting his neighbours after they allegedly scolded his son.

The video, which garnered over 10,000 views, shows the father approaching his neighbours’ home and angrily reprimanding them for confronting his child.

The man began by shouting:

“Who gave you the right to scold him?! Who do you think you are to scold my son?!”

Taken aback by the aggressive approach, the neighbours explained that they had scolded the boy for riding his motorcycle recklessly.

“Your son was speeding and performing wheelies, endangering other road users.”

The boy’s reckless riding endangered others

The father responded, “He can do as he pleases. It’s his right. The road doesn’t belong to you alone.”

To which the neighbours replied, “Your son can’t do as he pleases, it’s unsafe for others. What if he got into an accident?”

“Sure, the road doesn’t belong to us, but you have to be mindful of others too. He was lucky to avoid hitting an electric pole. We scold because we care. We wouldn’t do it for no reason.”

The video ends with the neighbours calmly explaining why the boy shouldn’t be riding dangerously.

Netizens commenting on the video had strong reactions:

“I can’t believe someone like this is a father. Who are you to think people can’t point out your kid’s mistakes when he’s clearly in the wrong?”

Another commented, “I can’t believe he refuses to understand something so simple. If your son dies alone riding recklessly, that’s one thing. But if others are involved, it’s a whole different matter.”
