How often, while waiting for drinks at a roadside stall, do you give out money to beggars? How many times a blind person accompanied by a chaperone have made you fumble for change?

Though many of us believe that charity is given to those who really need it, it is because of people in this video that make us think that we should not vide out much needed help anymore in fear of possible scams.

Taking to social media, a video of a poor couple though to be blind was seen begging for money, only to take off his glasses much later and conveniently made away with other people’s hard-earned cash.

Caught in the act, it was a good thing that no one was there, apart from the video taker, to take action.

Garnering more than 4.3k shares, many commenting on the incident have expressed their reluctance to further help people like this.

“This is why I refuse to give anything to those who beg around eateries.”

“I have seen such incidences unfolding before my eyes, when a man who pretended to be blind, was able to board a bus without any problems.”

Let’s hope that the authorities will take action against those who prey on other people’s hard-earned cash as part of a scam.
