A member of the upper management of a mosque in Bangi, Selangor recently shed happy tears when a group of youths gave him a little surprise.

In a viral TikTok post by @yedowski_, Zayed said the Tok Siak (upper management) of the mosque had his phone stolen recently during Isya’ prayers at night.

“Someone broke into his office room in the Surau and stole the phone.”

The phone was a crucial part of Tok Siak‘s life. That was the only way for him to contact his family back in Indonesia every night.

As such, a group of youth, including Zayed, who is part of the Youth Group of the Surau decided to surprise the elderly man, fondly known as Wak Ismail, with a brand new mobile phone. One of them discreetly put the bag containing the new phone behind Wak Ismail until he saw the device.

He was happy to see the bag but he was moved to tears after unboxing the new phone.

“This is a contribution from the Youth Group of the mosque, as well as some of the members of the Surau,” the youth, sometimes known as the Surau Gang told Wak Ismail.

When asked to speak a little about his new gift, Wak Ismail only had words of gratitude.

“Thank you everyone,” Wak Ismail expressed before he shed his tears again.

In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Zayed said the surprise for Wak Ismail took place recently when the group was having a work discussion, and Wak Ismail was sitting on the floor counting cash.

“Our Surau is currently collecting donation money for the flood victims,” Zayed told WORLD OF BUZZ.

Zayed also said Wak Ismail has done a lot for the people in the area, as well as contributing to the worship house throughout his 15 years with the Surau.

What a generous and selfless act by the Youth Group! We hope Wak Ismail enjoys his new phone and makes many calls to his family back home.
