Due to not having water supply for about 2 years, an elderly resident of a Kepong apartment has been wrapping his faeces in newspaper and throwing it out of his first-floor apartment window this entire time.

The accumulation of faeces in the back alley of the apartment block over these past 2 years has since caused issues with smell and hygiene among the other residents.

Poop 2

According to a report by Sin Chew, the elderly man revealed that he has been forced to throw his faeces out of his window as his apartment has not had water supply for the past 2 years, despite him paying his water bill every month.

Because of this, those living in the area have been complaining about the elderly man’s actions for some time, especially considering residents of the opposite apartment block have spotted the man in the act of throwing his faeces out the window once or twice a day.

Poop 1

The residents were also forced to take matters into their own hands by covering the faeces accumulated in the back alley with pieces of newspaper to prevent cars and passersby from trampling over it.

A community activist confronted the elderly man

However, after their complaints were met with inaction by the residents’ association and the police, a community activist named Yu finally stepped in to confront the elderly man only for him to discover the elderly man’s water supply problem.

Poop 3 2

Yu has since vowed to assist the elderly man with this issue after finding out that his apartment’s pipes as well as his water meter have not been upgraded. There is also a possibility that the elderly man’s pipes may be clogged due to irresponsible actions by residents in units above him, which in turn could have led to the water supply problem.

We genuinely hope that the elderly man’s water supply issue will be promptly fixed, for his own sake and for the sake of the residents around him.
