A security guard, also the traffic warden of a school in Johor, was recently hit by a Perodua Viva driver who ran the red lights.

In a viral Reddit post originally shared by Arma Syazmani on Facebook, the dashcam footage shows the Viva driver running the red lights and accidentally hitting the traffic warden standing right in front of the car.

The warden managed to stand but was later sent to the hospital for treatment.

In the Facebook post, Arma said he was already raising a red flag and wore a safety vest during the accident. She was baffled about how the driver could miss that and hit the uncle.

Arma added that the driver allegedly blamed the uncle for standing in the middle of the road.

“He didn’t even want to come down to check on the uncle. He rolled down the window after some parents knocked on it.”

In her post, Arma also reminded the parents to inform their kids to keep their attention focused on the road.

“In case we can’t find a replacement for the uncle, please remind your kids to be careful.”

We hope all drivers, regardless of where they are, can keep their eyes on the road when their hands are on the wheel.
