Malaysian influencer and dessert seller, Kieda, has apologised for her recent post about her herpes diagnosis, in which she jokingly blamed her husband’s genitals.

In her Facebook post, Kieda said she was sorry if the post had caused discomfort among her followers, adding that she was not being insensitive and understood that her post was unacceptable. Kieda also said that she took the feedback seriously and will take some time off social media following the major criticism from netizens.

Kieda also stayed home to keep the employees and food safe.

MOH officials visit Kieda’s store following complaints

In another Facebook post shared on June 25, Kieda revealed that the officers from the Ministry of Health (MOH) visited the store after they received complaints from the public about her herpes diagnosis. Following their visit, Kieda said that she would see the officers today, and the MOH doctor would also observe her latest condition.

Her dessert store in Penang was also closed today (June 26) for sanitation purposes.

While her shop was closed, Kieda visited the officers, and in her latest update, Kieda said that the MOH officers deemed her safe to work.

“Nothing serious. MOH did not issue a notice to close my shop or tell me to sanitize my premises. I did that on my own to ensure the cleanliness of the shop.”

“My ulcers have fully recovered but I am still not going to the shop as I have to prepare for my upcoming tour in Pahang this Saturday.”

Kieda also thanked those who took some time to advise her on the matter.
