Defence Minister: Weddings, Social Events & Banquets Still Not Allowed Under CMCO

Defence Minister, Ismail Sabri addressed the nation live this evening (9 December) to announce that all social events like feasts, weddings and banquets are still prohibited despite the flexibility given to under CMCO restrictions.

The minister said that while interstate travel is allowed and a number of restrictions have been lifted, social events will not be allowed. He added that the initial four-person limit per table for eateries had been altered to include more people but the rules of physical distancing must still be observed.

“If one table can fit ten people normally, only six people will be allowed to occupy the table with physical distancing,” said Ismail Sabri.
