DBKL has confirmed that Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman will be closed today (August 24) to make way for the rescue operations of the sinkhole victim.
In an announcement made via Facebook, DBKL also confirmed that the Program Santai Seni scheduled for tomorrow (August 25) in the area has been postponed. The closure is not just to make way for the rescue work but also out of safety for the people.
In a media conference today, PDRM suggested traders in Masjid India pause their operations for the time being to avoid the risk of getting exposed to toxic gases.
“Gas leaks could pose health risks to both visitors and vendors.”
