There is an entire spectrum of the different kinds of dads and we would like to propose that the best dads are always funny and only weak for their wife and daughters.
For example, this Malaysian dad whose hilarious Facebook posts about his first daughter’s marriage went viral recently.
Yesterday, @yungsbrna (Sabrina), an Instagram personality, shared with her followers on TikTok a video compilation of her dad’s Facebook posts about her getting married.
The video went viral and has over 700,000 views as of time of writing.
Being the first daughter, Sabrina’s dad, Ridzal could be seen being dramatically overprotective in his posts.
He started out mild, sharing a selfie that showed how excited he was for Sabrina’s nikah day.
Then, on the day Sabrina and her husband moved back into her family home, the former army member said, “Daughter is bringing new son-in-law home.”
“Papa Chief Ragger is ready with a Malaysian Armed Forces (Angkatan Tentera Malaysia – ATM) Style Orientation Week module!”
In another post, he said, “There’s a new guy in the house, be like…” and shared a selfie pretending to be annoyed.
Sabrina provided context and said that it is because her dad has been living with only girls in the house for 26 years.
“Even the cat is female.”
In the final Facebook post, Ridzal pretended to be upset about having to still buy breakfast for the family in the morning and said, “Ragging session extended.”
In the comments, netizens are loving Sabrina’s dad and are showering him with compliments about being cute.
One netizen also said, “Now we know where Sabrina got her behaviour from.”
While we do think that the posts’ captions and the context provided by Sabrina makes everything funnier, it is her dad’s facial expressions and gestures that take the cake!
Without his eyes and smile, we doubt the video would have had the same impact as it does now.
