If you’ve visited a car wash, chances are that when all you want is a basic wash, they’ll still try to upsell you on additional services like water wax.

Facing a similar experience, one man shared what he went through at a car wash in Johor Bahru, Johor.

“At this car wash in front of Pelangi, they won’t wash my car.”

Angered by being recorded, the workers approached the man and confronted him, asking if he had a problem.

Later in the video, the man explained that he had refused the water wax service, which led to the confrontation and the workers’ refusal to wash his car.

Netizens commenting on the video had plenty to say.

“What this bro shared is 100% true. If you refuse water wax, they won’t do their job properly.”

“It’s the same in the Klang Valley. The soap they use doesn’t even remove watermarks, hence the push for water wax. Amazingly, I’ve washed my car with dishwashing soap for 11 years and never had any problems,” said another user.

What are your thoughts on this? Are water wax offers just another excuse for car wash centres to upsell or pressure customers? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
