Couple in Their 60s Seen Publicly ‘Getting It On’ at Cheung Chau Pier in Viral Video, May Face 7 Years in Jail

A viral video caught the attention of Hong Kong residents recently, showing a couple in their 60s performing a sex act in public at Cheung Chau Pier, a popular spot among tourists and locals in the Special Administrative Region of China.

In the video, the couple can be seen on a bench at the pier, with the 61-year-old woman lying on her back with her legs on the 63-year-old man’s lap.

A couple in their 60s was caught performing an explicit act at a public pier in Hong Kong

The man then performed a couple of explicit acts on her using his left hand and head.

A passerby can also be seen in the video as the man ‘went down’ on the woman, but he simply walked past the couple and ignored them.

The couple was arrested within a span of two days

Following the video going viral online and causing outrage among netizens, a police report was made against the couple on 29 October.

In the span of 2 days, the Hong Kong police arrested the couple on Cheung Chau Island; the woman on the same day the report was made, while the man was arrested the next day.

According to the Hong Kong publication The Standard, they both have since been released on bail pending further inquiries. They are also required to report back to the police in late November.

 

They may face up to 7 years in jail

Local authorities stressed that the offence committed by the couple could land them a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison upon conviction.

Urging the public to abide by the law, the authorities also pledged to increase uniformed and plainclothes patrols to deter similar incidents.
