After having been involved in a serious accident and coming out alive with only minor injuries, a couple take the situation as a sign and gets married!
According to a report by SCMP, 31-year-old Ma was returning from a road trip with his girlfriend on Saturday (July 26), when he tried to overtake a lorry on a 2-lane highway.
Just as he had passed the lorry’s rear, the lorry’s back tyre exploded, causing it to swerve towards Ma’s vehicle.
While he tried to brake, the lorry ultimately collided with Ma’s vehicle, which ended up getting pinned between the lorry and the highway’s middle divider.
His car’s front and rear were left severely wrecked, though thankfully, he and his girlfriend, who was in the front passenger seat, only sustained cuts and bruises. The lorry driver also survived without injuries.
“Bound by life and death”
Later the same day, Ma suggested to his girlfriend that they should get married and although his girlfriend felt concerned about their torn clothes due to the accident. The couple had initially discussed marriage, but they both agreed that they did not want to rush into things.

They registered their marriage a few days later, on Tuesday (July 29), where their parents expressed their joy over the union, especially considering how close the couple came to death together.
Their parents described the couple to be “bound to life and death”.
