A 37-year-old woman from China has gone viral after suffering a bad allergic reaction that left her face swollen and disfigured.

Known as Niuyoumian, she posted a video on social media showing her inflamed face, revealing that she had been experiencing redness, swelling, itchiness, and rashes, which she later described as a case of “hormone face.”

She never removed her makeup

According to the South China Morning Post, she revealed that she had been wearing makeup for 22 consecutive years, allegedly without ever removing it.

However, her skin problems began at just 14 after using an acne cream. She claimed that things gradually got worse, especially when she could only afford cheap liquid foundation at the time.

While studying beauty and hairdressing, her exposure to various chemical substances further aggravated her existing skin problems.

“It feels like thousands of ants crawling on my face”

In 2011, she turned to cosmetic procedures, undergoing a series of facial injections that eventually led to varying levels of disfigurement.

She later revealed that she now suffers from rosacea and demodex mites (parasites), describing the condition as “a rash that feels like thousands of tiny ants crawling on my face.”

“Before I turned 25, I didn’t realise how serious hormone-related skin issues could be. I thought a bit of redness or itchiness could be fixed with some ointment. But after 25, everything changed. Over the years, I never truly committed to healing my skin. I’d try a product for two days, then switch to another just because someone else said it worked. That constant cycle only made things worse,” she said.
