First of all, his “occupation” is an alleged burglar and after he was arrested in late December, the police found that he kept a motivational notebook full of detailed tips and reminders on how to carry out his crimes. According to SCMP, the unidentified man who is in his early 20s went viral on Chinese social media after his little notebook was found.

In neat and orderly handwriting, the burglar wrote down planned robberies with various crime route options and hand-drawn maps. Incriminating or what? He marked down the location of the police station and peppered his noted with reminders.

His reminders included: “Do keep in mind – only take cash, gold vessels, alcohol and cigarettes” and “Distinguish real cigarettes and alcohol from fakes, find another ID card”.

He also reminded himself to make a quick getaway when needed, writing, “Take different escape routes based on the value of goods. Keep in mind to run first if the value is high. Escape quickly, hide, take cover and run far away.” Is this guy thorough or what?

That’s not all, he even gave himself little pep talks in his notes, saying that he should not get “sluggish” while stealing or “conform, take the easy way out and dislike work”. The man wrote down his evaluations after he had finished a “job” to keep himself motivated.

These notes tickled Chinese netizens immensely as they admired his dedication but unfortunately, he chose the wrong path. They said, “The most inspirational thief in history” and “This thief worked very hard for this job summary”.

Sina reported that the alleged burglar used to study at a famous university but had dropped out of his studies in 2016.

Too bad, he should have channeled those meticulous skills somewhere else better!
